Good Standing Certificate from Gujarat Nursing Council

If your nursing registration is with the Gujarat Nursing Council, this is where you apply for your good standing certificate — the document confirming your registration is valid and that you have no disciplinary action against you. Who Needs It

Who Needs a Good Standing Certificate?

Nurses applying to the Gulf.

Most Gulf licensing authorities ask for one: SCFHS (Saudi Arabia), DHA, DOH and MOHAP (UAE), QCHP (Qatar), MOH (Kuwait), NHRA (Bahrain) and OMSB (Oman).

Nurses applying to the UK, Ireland and Australia.

NMC, NMBI and AHPRA/ANMAC usually ask for proof of your current professional status. Their format and validity rules differ.

Nurses already working abroad.

You don't need to fly home. In many cases the application can be prepared and followed up on your behalf. Check with us for your council.

Nurses whose application was rejected or delayed.

If your last attempt failed, see the section below on why that happens and how to fix it.

Requirements change, so always check the latest checklist from your destination authority.

Process

How to Get a Good Standing Certificate: Step by Step

1

Check that your registration is active.

If your renewal is pending or has lapsed, fix that first.

2

Confirm the correct council.

The certificate must come from the council that holds your registration. If you transferred, check which council holds your record now.

3

Match your name everywhere.

Your registration, passport and application must show the same name and spelling.

4

Collect your documents

(see the checklist below).

5

Find out what your destination authority needs.

Some want the certificate sent directly from the council, and some accept an uploaded copy. Some only accept recent certificates.

6

Submit the application and fee

through the council's current process (online, by post or in person, depending on the council).

7

Follow up regularly.

Applications often stall without a status check.

8

Send it to the licensing body

in the way they require.
